Bathinda, January 11 Democratic Swaraj Party candidate Gian Chand Bansal filed his nomination papers for the Assembly elections from Bathinda (Urban) constituency today. Notably, it was the first day for filing nomination papers for the poll. While talking to Bathinda Tribune, Gian Chand Bansal said he had filed his papers as a candidate of the Democratic Swaraj Party, which was a part of the Panjab Front, led by Patiala Member of Parliament Dr Dharamvira Gandhi.
He said he had been given the symbol of saw to cut down evil from its roots. Bansal claimed that after coming to power, they would uproot all social evils, including drugs.Bansal had earlier contested unsuccessfully as an Independent from Ward No. 12 in the Municipal Corporation election in 2015.
