World Sparrow Day: This is how you can save these flying creatures

Whenever we look around in this modern age ‘surroundings’ we have often found sky high buildings and congested roads. The stories on nature of our grannies are lying in the rotten pages.

Whenever we look around in this modern age ‘surroundings’ we have often found sky high buildings and congested roads. The stories on nature of our grannies are lying in the rotten pages.

It seems that the human beings on the planet, The Earth have become the slaves of pollution and new emerging mobile devices due to the notions of industrialization and modernisation.

What comes as a surprise for us when it becomes difficult to even remember our beautiful and social birds, sparrows also known as Goriya Chidiya. Nevertheless, this playful and cheerful small little furry bird is depleting from our eyes nowadays.

We hardly see this bird in our verandah or terrace gardens reminding our daylight chores.

But what is the reason behind the extinction of these harmless birds?

Loss of habitat: Due to the requirement of spacious buildings have made the sparrows lose their habitat. A complete deforestation of green planted areas has required the lives of these.

Electro Magnetic Radiation: The electromagnetic radiations released from our mobile phone has devastated this little birdie.

Modern Agriculture: The modern techniques like insecticide and pesticides which are widely used for agriculture has led to a drastic decline of them.

Pollution: Pollution is one of the significant contributing factors for the reduction of these birds.

However, merely pointing out problems is not the only solution therefore in this article, below listed are the handful of points to save the sparrows.

·         On should try to make available the food grains and water for sparrows.

·         Well, it is difficult to minimize pollution but one can start from their own home.

·         Minimize the use of your cell phone. If possible, use anti-radiation cover to protect yourselves and to protect the environment.

·         Wisely use insecticides and pesticides. Over-use of these substances are harmful in many ways.

·         Use high quality of fuel in your vehicle and maintain your vehicle to minimize the pollution.

You can use a simple apparatus shown in the figure to provide food and water for the sparrows. These apparatus were distributed by Burhani foundation India last year on World Sparrow Day (20th March) all over the world to inspired the people to save sparrows.
