IPL 10 proves to be a game changer for Krunal Pandya

Krunal Pandya played one of the best innings of his cricket career as Mumbai Indians defeated Rising Pune Supergiant by 1 run to lift the IPL trophy for a record third time. The match went down to the wire and it was those vital runs at the end of Mumbai innings which proved to be more than handy.

When IPL 2017 started, who would have thought that when the tournament reaches its pinnacle, Krunal Pandya would turn out to be the most valuable player. But, this is what happened. Playing his first IPL Final, Pandya showed his batting skills when the team needed it the most. Although, he has been showing some brilliant performance with the ball, this time his batting show proved that he is a very useful all-rounder. Pandya became only the 3rd uncapped Indian to win man of the match award in IPL Finals.

Earlier IPL 8 had been the season which brought Krunal’s little brother, Hardik Pandya into limelight. Hardik managed to grab a lot of eyeballs with his superb show with the bat and ball. Two years down the little, the elder brother also proved that he is no less and can be a match winner on the big stage. As it is said, ‘When it gets tough, the tough get going’. Mumbai had lost their big players like Rohit Sharma, Pollard and were in danger of getting all out below 100 runs, but Pandya’s innings ensured Mumbai got to a fighting total and bowlers did the rest of the job.
