RAJKOT: A married man was arrested for allegedly raping a 14-year-old mentally ill girl in Vavera village of Rajula tauka of Amreli on Tuesday. The accused, Venubhai Dobariya (46), who is also father of two children, had raped the girl at his farm six months ago.According to police, the girl’s parents came to know about the incident when they noticed the bulge in the girl’s abdomen. On a doctor’s examination, it was revealed that the girl was five months pregnant.When the girl’s parents asked her what had happened, she told them that Dobariya had taken her to his hut in his farm six months ago and allegedly raped her. After the girl’s parents lodged the complaint, police arrested the accused.Meanwhile, a 35-year-old woman from Sultanpur in Una taluka of Gir Somnath district has accused a man identified as Abhijit Rathod of raping her three months ago in a car in Bagasra after abducting her.
