Special train from Nanded to Kakinada for Pongal

Aurangabad: The South Central Railway (SCR) has announced special train between Nanded and Kakinada in Andhra Pradesh to clear extra rush of passengers during forthcoming Pongal festival.The train (number 07082) will make single trip on Friday. The special train would help in clearing extra rush of these passengers, SCR authorities said.Meanwhile, Vinod Kumar Yadav has taken over charge as General Manager of the SCR. It will left from Nanded at 3.30 pm and will reach the destination next day on 10.45 am, a release issued by the SCR said.Mudkhed, Dharamabad, Basar, Nizamabad, Kamareddy, Ankanpet, Mizapalli, Medchal, Bholarum, Malkajgiri, Secunderabad, Pagidipalli, Nalgonda, Miryalguda,Piduguralla, Sattenapalli, Guntur, Vijaywada, Eluru, Rajahmundry, Samalkot, Samalkot, Kakinada town and Kakinada Port are the stations that would be covered by the special train during in long-distance journey.A large number of residents from Marathwada, who hail from south India, visit their hometown during the Pongal festival. Prior to the new assignment, he was serving as Executive Director of Railway Electrification Projects, Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL), New Delhi, an official release said.Yadav, who belongs to the 1980 batch of Indian Railway Service of Electrical Engineers, has held important positions in the past including Deputy Manager (Electrical), IRCON at Turkey, where he was instrumental in planning, execution and commissioning of Railway Electrification Project for Turkish Railway.
