Aurangabad: Raising voice against the encroachment on the People's Education Society (PES) property in Nagsenvan area, members of the Dalit Atyachar Virodhi Kruti Samiti held a demonstration to the divisional commissionerate on Wednesday.The members have formed PES Bachao Jan Andolan to fight against encroaching PES society which was established by Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar.While holding the demonstration, the activists said that some anti-social elements as well as land mafias are trying to encroach the open land which belongs to the PES society in Cantonment area.The activists are demanding the divisional commissioner to institute an enquiry in this case. "These encroacher have also installed religious symbols and flags there. This must be done to create enmity between communities," said Buddhapriye Kabir, action committee leader.He also claimed that the outfit has already made a representation to the civic body administration and the police. But there are still some anti-social elements and land mafias who are construct houses and huts and sell it to unsuspecting people. Those who oppose encroachments are subjected to threats and wrong cases.Therefore, these activists have demanded the authorities to rein in these elements to avoid any untoward eventuality.
