After Bengaluru, Sadhguru will travel to Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai, Varanasi, New Delhi, Shillong and Ahmedabad. This is happening because thousands of children go missing every year, and this sort of paranoia knows no religion. What we are trying to do through this programme is give them that clarity and balance” said Sadhguru. Also, over 3 million cattle heads are stolen and smuggled across the border every year. However, if the youth do not have clarity or balance, they will not be able to harness the energy they have properly.

BENGALURU: Sadhguru of Isha Foundation on Tuesday blamed lynchings on the paranoia generated by thousands of children going missing every year and theft of three million cattle heads annually.Referring to a lynching he had witnessed in the Mysuru region, Sadhguru said, “Somebody had sent a message saying that children were being sacrificed for the construction of a dam. Nobody knew where the dam was being built or of any families that had lost children. However, that night when I passed through the area, fires were burning in the villages and young men were standing with sticks and stones. If anyone had passed, they would have been attacked. I did try to stop it but was pushed out... This is happening because thousands of children go missing every year, and this sort of paranoia knows no religion. Also, over 3 million cattle heads are stolen and smuggled across the border every year. If you steal someone’s cow, they will naturally beat you up, and this has nothing to do with religion.”He said the law needs to be enforced and people should be reassured that if something of theirs goes missing, they will get justice.Sadhguru was fielding questions from mediapersons during an event where he unveiled the details of his Youth and Truth movement that was launched in Delhi last week. Over the next few weeks, the country’s youth will be free to ask Sadhguru questions cutting across all topics, as part of the movement.Responding to a question on his past comments on homosexuality, he said. “It may not entirely be a social phenomenon as there is a physiological aspect as well... For instance, in the US, the campaign is so big that one can’t say this social campaign doesn’t have an impact on people.”Sadhguru will visit Mount Carmel College and the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in Bengaluru and the Regional Institute of Education (RIE) in Mysuru over the next few days. As part of the campaign, youth will be given the opportunity to directly connect with Sadhguru, who will be travelling to different college campuses, as well as answering questions from youngsters, celebrities and youth icons on social media. After the IIM event on September 16, Youth and Truth will continue its journey across the country. After Bengaluru, Sadhguru will travel to Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai, Varanasi, New Delhi, Shillong and Ahmedabad. While the series will end on September 29 in Ahmedabad, the online version will continue to run for years on end.“More than 50% of our population is below 30, with the 20-25 age group being crucial. However, if the youth do not have clarity or balance, they will not be able to harness the energy they have properly. What we are trying to do through this programme is give them that clarity and balance” said Sadhguru.
