Forum demands review of apex court order against SC/ST employees promotion

Members of Karnataka Bahujana Sangha have demanded that the Centre and State government file a review petition in Supreme Court in connection with the ruling against promotion for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe employees. The ruling has caused injustice to the government employees belonging to SC/ST communities, the organisation said. “The ruling was a conspiracy to demoralise the socially-backward sections,” it said in a memorandum, which was submitted to the Deputy Commissioner. Sangha’s district president Harjenahalli Krishnappa, convener Malur Mahalakshmi were present among others.
