As per the data, GMSH received 28 burn injury patients and 14 with eye injuries, while GMCH received six patients with burns and three with eye injuries. As many as 21 burn injury patients and six with eye injuries were admitted to the civil hospitals. As many as 19 people received burn injuries during Diwali celebrations on Wednesday. While 11 cases were reported from Mohali, eight from Derabassi subdivision. A 7-year-old boy, Tanu, from Derabassi was referred to the PGIMER, Chandigarh. Mohali Senior Medical Officer Manjeet Singh said that all the 11 patients came with minor burn injuries and were discharged on Wednesday night itself. In Derabassi and Zirakpur, total seven cases of burn injuries were reported during the Diwali celebrations. In 2017, 28 taken to PGI.
