Ishrat S Banwait Chandigarh, May 29 Anees School corners glory Not allowing financial crunch to stop her from excelling, Antreev Rana, an EWS category student of Tender Heart School, Chandigarh, scored 94.6 per cent in ICSE Class X exams, results of which were declared here today. Antreev, who wants to take up medical stream now, has made her parents proud. Her father Kushal Rana is partially blind and works as an announcer in UT Secretariat. Antreev says she was confident of doing well as she put in regular efforts in her studies. Burning mid-night oil was common for Antreev, who says, “I have no fixed hours. But once I sit to study, I don’t get up for at least four or five hours”. Antreev says at present she does not have any profession in mind and wants to do well in Class XII. She will then decide upon her profession. Antreev says she does not have any high expectations. For her parents, this is an achievement worthy of a miracle itself. Her father says he does not know how her daughter managed to do well. He credits the school with taking care of her daughter and not burdening them financially. Her daughter did not take any tuition, informs her father. Antreev loves dancing and has performed many times in her school’s functions. Her love for dancing comes from her mother who is a music teacher in a government school of Mohali.Mohali: With having a total of 33 students with 90 per cent and above marks along with Mohali topper Pulkit Johar, Anees School at Sector 69 cornered glory in the local education arena here.
