Politicos, celebrities flock to Coimbatore

But BJP leader H Raja dismissed those opposing the event alleging that only atheists and left parties were against the celebrations and the statue. Modi would leave the city on Friday night after unvei ling the bust, but others are likely to stay through the night for Shivratri.Isha sources said they expect around 5 lakh participants on Friday.This year, the celebrations have also attracted criticism from environmentalists and political outfits for installing the 112ft tall super structure in the foothills of the Western Ghats.
