Beach weddings in Goa may face ban!

According the National Centre for Sustainable Coastal Management’s report the Goan destination weddings or beach parties, which take place on coastal areas, may affect the flora and fauna. Therefore the organizers need to follow some guidelines and ensure that there is no damage inflicted on the vegetation of the area such as creepers and other flora. Coastal management has said that the stage set up for such weddings should be done without the use of cement, concrete or permanent material.

Are you planning a destination wedding on a beach in Goa? Well in that case you might have to change your plans because, there’s a ban recommended on weddings at the ecologically sensitive zones on the beaches.

According the National Centre for Sustainable Coastal Management’s report the Goan destination weddings or beach parties, which take place on coastal areas, may affect the flora and fauna.

Therefore the organizers need to follow some guidelines and ensure that there is no damage inflicted on the vegetation of the area such as creepers and other flora.

Coastal management has said that the stage set up for such weddings should be done without the use of cement, concrete or permanent material.

The Goa tourism department has asked to deny or withdraw the permissions granted to such organizers, if they are found to be violating the norms.
