Bicholim: After having sneaked through Sattari taluka, a leopard has now begun terrorizing human settlements in Bicholim. Last Monday night, Chari's family heard roars from a near distance and following the leopard's roars came the sound of a calf crying. Two calves belonging to Gajanan Chari, a resident of Kudchirem, were killed by the animal, which was later sited by villagers.Villagers claimed that they heard the leopard roaring in the night last week, but nobody had seen the wild cat. A smiliar incident was witnessed the next day too and the villagers finally managed to trace the animal, which was resting in the forested area. They later noticed a calf lying dead in the cowshed.
