Traffic diversions for half marathon in Gurugram

It will end at Tau Devi Lal Diversity Park after a run via HUDA City Centre, Sector 31 traffic signal, Bakhtawar Chowk, Bakhtawar Chowk, Artemis traffic signal, and Wazirabad Traffic Signal.In a bid to accommodate the runners, traffic diversions have been imposed on the race route. Around 15,000 people including cops will be running on Sunday morning as part of the Amity Gurgaon Half Marathon . 5am till 12noon, the race route will be closed for vehicles.Around 500 policemen will be among the marathon runners along with thousands of civilians. The cops will be on their posts from 4:30pm till the race ends," said DCP (Traffic) Balbir Singh. "The route has been divided in five sectors, and each sector will have an individual traffic police incharge.

GURUGRAM: While the rest of the state will be reeling under the tension of Black Day- call for a gathering at Jat Agitation sit in sites, Gurugram would be offering a fresh start of the day via a 21 kilometer long half marathon . Around 15,000 people including cops will be running on Sunday morning as part of the Amity Gurgaon Half Marathon . During the seven race i.e. 5am till 12noon, the race route will be closed for vehicles.Around 500 policemen will be among the marathon runners along with thousands of civilians. The marathon will start from Leisure Valley Ground in the morning. It will end at Tau Devi Lal Diversity Park after a run via HUDA City Centre, Sector 31 traffic signal, Bakhtawar Chowk, Bakhtawar Chowk, Artemis traffic signal, and Wazirabad Traffic Signal.In a bid to accommodate the runners, traffic diversions have been imposed on the race route. The traffic police advices that vehicles bound to Delhi from Sohna Road will go via Rajiv Chowk, vehicles headed towards Medanta-The Medicity hospital from Sohna Road will go to Bakhtawar Chowk via Subhash Chowk, similarly vehicle bound to Medanta- The Medicity hospital from MG Road will go from IFFCO Chowk, vehicles bound towards Jaipur from sector 56 and 57 side will go via IFFCO Chowk, Extension road and Hero Honda Chowk. Also, vehicle bound to HUDA City Centre from sector 40 and 31 will use IFFCO Chowk and Delhi-Gurgaon expressway, similarly, vehicles from South City I going towards HUDA City Centre will have to use Signature Tower and IFFCO Chowk and vehicles from sector 45 will have to go via Ardee City for HUDA City Centre.Gurgaon traffic police has deputed 350 traffic cops, 150 cops from police stations and around 80 volunteers along the run route to ensure a safe passage for them. "The route has been divided in five sectors, and each sector will have an individual traffic police incharge. The cops will be on their posts from 4:30pm till the race ends," said DCP (Traffic) Balbir Singh.
