Swine flu cases continue

Fresh cases of swine flu infection continue to be reported from the State’s hospitals, mainly Gandhi Hospital which has seen 10 deaths this year. The government said it was well stocked with medicines to address surge in infection cases and advised against delay in seeking treatment if flu symptoms persisted. The virus continues to cause infection, mainly in women and children, Gandhi Hospital doctors said. The hospital reported its last death, of a 69-year-old man from ECIL, on February 13. At the hospital, 11 persons were being treated, including six children and one pregnant woman.
