Six government doctors suspended for private practice

NELLORE: District collector Mutyala Raju Revu on Thursday reportedly placed six government doctors under suspension on charges of working for private hospitals in Nellore during their official duty hours. According to sources, the collector took the decision after conducting surprise inspections at few government hospitals and found that the doctors were not on duty .Enquiries revealed that the doctors were working for private hospitals at the time. The collector said such activities would never be tolerated.Nellore government hospital superintendent Dr Radhakrishna Raju and DM & HO Vara Sundaram said they are unaware of the incident.
