Hyderabad: A 31-year-old woman, resident of Vijaynagar in Old Malakpet resisted sexual advances of “Kafeel” in Saudi Arabia, fought for freedom. According to the news published in TOI, talking to newsmen, she said that she was shocked when her “Kafeel” made sexual advances towards her in Saudi Arabia. It is also reported that when she said to her 66-year-old “Kafeel”, “I call you baba and treat you like my father. Don’t you understand the meaning”, he replied, “Though you call me baba, I am not your baba. Your father is in Hyderabad. You have to give in to my demand”. She also told her employer, “I want to earn my salary in a decent way. I cannot be taken for granted”. She further said that her “Kafeel” tried to approach her many times but she was determined not to give in. When she decided to leave the job, she was asked to pay 15000 riyals, the amount paid by “Kafeel” to the agents. She also claimed she used to get 400-600 riyals as salary although she was promised 1,500-riyals as salary. Finally, she returned home after she managed to call her husband in Hyderabad from the phone of her kafeel’s wife. She also threatened her “Kafeel” that she would go to the police.
