INDORE: Around 50 MBBS second professional students will now be able to give third professional part I examination after filling an undertaking form. The students will have to confirm that the results of the third prof will be considered only if they clear their ongoing second prof exams.A group of second prof medical students from three medical colleges urged DAVV vice-chancellor N K Dhakad to conduct the examinations of third prof later at public hearing on Tuesday.“At present, we are appearing in the examination of second prof and the varsity has already declared the examination dates for the third prof. As the exams of third prof will start from January 12, it will be extremely difficult for us to manage both the exams,” said Rahul Gavli of MGM Medical College.While Dhakad and the exam controller Dr Ashesh Tiwari did not agree to postpone the examination, they approved upon letting the students appear for the examinations of third prof after making them sign an undertaking .“We had set the examination schedule of third prof only after consulting with deans. We cannot conduct the examination later since the third prof students will be giving their final exam in March,” Tiwari said.
