Man arrested with heroin in Jammu

JAMMU: A man was arrested and seven grams of heroin were seized from his possession in Jammu city, police said.During surprise checking near the Shastri Nagar cremation ground, the securitymen intercepted a pedestrian roaming around suspiciously, a police spokesman said.During the frisking of the person, seven grams of heroin were found on his possession, he added.The contraband was seized and a case under the NDPS Act registered against the accused, the police spokesman said, adding that a probe was launched in this regard.
