KOZHIKODE: Munroe Thuruthu, screened at the Kozhikode International Film Festival on Saturday, had fetched P.S. Manu the Aravindan Award for the best debutant director last year. Actor Jason Chacko, who portrayed the role of the grandson, spoke about how he was fascinated by the script when he read it for the first time.

It also boasts a remarkable performance from actor Indrans, as an elderly man with whom his mentally-disturbed grandson comes to stay for a few days. Talking about the film to an enthusiastic audience that had applauded it a few minutes earlier at the Tagore Centenary Hall, Manu said the film was a metaphor for man’s restlessness. Actor Jason Chacko, who portrayed the role of the grandson, spoke about how he was fascinated by the script when he read it for the first time.
