Lucknow Municipal Corporation staff threaten stir in March

Lucknow Nagar Nigam Karmchari Sangh 's president Anand Verma said, "On March 17, around 8,000 people would observe 'Black Day'." They have been on strike at zonal offices of LMC to press for release of about Rs 23 crore as their pending arrears. LUCKNOW: After a four-day token strike of Lucknow Municipal Corporation workers against delay in payment of their arrears, around 8,000 employees announced to boycott work for full day on March 25.Work would also remain affected on March 17, 21 and 23 as workers would be staging protests. It includes enhancement of sixth pay commission, pension and gratuity amount, various allowances, etc.
