No place for students to sit as MKU College admits more students

“The number has crossed even 100 in some of the departments,” said one of the faculty members speaking on anonymity. O. Ravi, Controller of Examinations, MKU, said that principals of all colleges had already been asked to furnish details of their sanctioned strength and number of students admitted. “Some colleges may have admitted more students in anticipation of approval from the office of Dean (College Development Council). He said that the college did not have adequate infrastructure, including toilets and drinking water, to cater to such a large number of students. According to the faculty members, while the sanctioned strength to each course was 60, admission of 20 % more was allowed as per instructions of the Higher Education department.
