Mangaluru man and his son-in-law drowned in river

Police said that they received a call around 4pm about possible drowning while duo were catching fish. MANGALURU: A man and his son-in-law were feared to have washed away while they were catching fish near Yenekallu River under Subrahmanya police station limits on Friday.According to police victims have been identified as Ananda Gowda, resident of Banadka and his son-in-law Sunil. Police and expert swimmers have rushed to the spot.They added that Sunil, resident of Vamanjoor in Mangaluru was working in private firm in Bengaluru and had come to his in law's place.A case has been registered at Subrahmanya police station.
