7- In a major setback to the ruling Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and its leader Ajit Pawar, the BJP is emerging victorious in Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad municipal corporation polls. The NCP is ruling these civic bodies for the last ten years. In Solapur, hometown of former Union minister Sushilkumar Shinde, the Congress is losing its ground to the BJP.

5- On February 21, nearly 56% voters had exercised franchise across 10 municipal corporations in Maharashtra.
