The Shiv Sena, which had joined Opposition to stall both the Houses of the Maharashtra assembly on the issue of loan waiver, was seen with the Government on Saturday. This turnabout happened only after Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis spoke to Uddhav Thackeray. Fadnavis informed media persons that when he spoke to Thackeray, the Sena chief expressed the need for being positive on loan waiver. Accordingly, Fadnavis said a delegation of state government was led by him to Delhi on this issue. That is the reason Sena supported Government and none of the Sena MLAs rushed to the Well of the House on Saturday. Fadnavis said that there were a few political parties who were dreaming of shooting down the government by using Shiv Sena as their gun, but could not succeed. He said that the very reason for this failure was these parties were using someone else's shoulder to use the gun and were not honest in their intentions. Sena MLAs including Anil Kadam, Vijay Auti, Ramesh Prabhu made it clear that since the chief minister had shown positive appproach on loan waiver iissue, Sena had decided against going in to the Well of the House. Leader of Opposition in the state legislative council Dhananjay Munde had pointed out that the BJP Government had forgotten to talk about the memorial of late Gopinath Munde in its budget. Retaliating to this criticism, Finance Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar said, "The memorial has been announced last year and there has been a provision for the same during special cabinet for Marathwada region in Aurangabad, which is why it was not specially mentioned. But it is good that due to this, Dhananjay Munde who deserted his mentor Gopinath Munde had an opportunity to remember him."
