MSRTC to study K’nagar route service feasibility

Nashik: The Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) will conduct a survey to check the feasibility of connecting Karvenagar in Pune to the city.The move by the Nashik division of the transport utility comes in the wake of the demand from city-based IT professionals working in Pune who demanded a direct bus service between Karvenagar and Nashik. "There has been a rising demand among the travellers between Nashik and Pune - especially the ones who are working in IT companies in Pune, because they come down for the weekend from Karvenagar to Nashik and back to Karvenagar on Monday.

So, we will carry out a survey by the end of the month and assess the situation," a senior MSRTC officer said.Currently, the transport utility is plying two buses from Hinjewadi to Nashik on Fridays and one bus from Nashik to Hinjewadi on Mondays.The bus service helps the people working in Hinjewadi to directly catch the bus and come to Nashik instead of heading to Shivajinagar to board the Nashik-bound buses."The officials and employees from the Pune division will do the field work of the survey as we are unaware of the MSRTC network in the region," said the officer.
