Sharda University BTech student killed in car crash

BTech student of Sharda university driving a Ford Ecosport was killed in car crash on Noida-Greater Noida e-way. A BTech student of Sharda University died, and eight others were injured in an accident on Greater Noida Expressway that took place in the wee hours on Thursday. Police said, the 20-year-old Paras Ahluwalia, was pursuing BTech from Sharda University, died on the spot and other students in the car survived the crash with injuries. According to police, the accident took place at around 3:30 am near Sector 144 on Noida – Greater Noida Expressway. The SHO said, “Four tourists from Kerala were on their way to Agra in Swift Dzire.

A BTech student of Sharda University died, and eight others were injured in an accident on Greater Noida Expressway that took place in the wee hours on Thursday. The accident involved a Ford EcoSport and Swift Dzire. The EcoSport was occupied by five students of the University, and Dzire was occupied by tourists from Kerala. According to police, the accident took place at around 3:30 am near Sector 144 on Noida – Greater Noida Expressway. Swift Dzire, which was behind the SUV also lost control and rammed into the divider,” said Anuj Kumar, the station house officer of Surajpur police station. Police said, the 20-year-old Paras Ahluwalia, was pursuing BTech from Sharda University, died on the spot and other students in the car survived the crash with injuries. Read more The victims were rushed to Kailash Hospital in Greater Noida, where Paras was declared brought dead. A hospital staff told HT, that one Aman brought the victims to the hospital. While Paras was declared dead on arrival, two other students – Navjeet Tomar and Himanshu - received injuries and were later discharged from the hospital. The SHO said, “Four tourists from Kerala were on their way to Agra in Swift Dzire. They were driving behind the SUV, and lost control following the SUV crash and rammed into the divider.” They were rushed to Felix Hospital, he said. Kumar said, “At present, it is difficult to ascertain the exact cause of the accident, we do not know whether the students were driving under the influence of alcohol.”
