KGBV students 'thrashed' by warden

Snehalata Singh was issued a show-cause notice after girls studying in Class VI and VIII were hurt after being reportedly thrashed by the warden with the rod. GARHWA: The warden of Bhawnathpur Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) was summoned by the district superintendent of education's office (DSE) on Monday after boarders complained of assault with a curtain rod on Sunday night. The students underwent medical treatment at the hostel.However, Singh said she had used a stick and not an iron rod to hit the girls for making noise late night.DSE Braj Mohan Kumar said a probe has been launched into the incident.
