SURAT: World's leading diamond company, Kiran Gems , won around six prestigious award at the India Gems and Jewellery Award (IGJA) ceremony organised by the Gems and JEwellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) at Mumbai on Saturday.Kiran Gems won four awards and its two group companies won one award each. It was one such rare occasion when a single company won so many GJEPC awards, considered the top award for the Indian Gems and Jewellery industry, in a particular year.Kiran Gems was awarded for 9th consecutive year as the "Highest Exporter - Cut & Polished Diamonds (Exports above Rs . 3000 Crores)". Vallabhbhai Patel , chairman of Kiran Gems received the award on behalf of the company and dedicated it to the whole team of Kiran Gems and its customers globally.Patel said, "It is not simple to be on top for so many years. It requires focus on continuous improvement and lot of hard work and be nimble. I share this award with every member of our company for their contribution and customers for their continued trust on us."Additionally, Kiran Gems was awarded highest taxpayer company -(Diamond), best in Gems & Jewellery E - Commerce, best growing company of the year (Large), Kiran Exports HK Ltd- "Highest Gems and Jewellery Sales (Importer) - Far East" and Kiran Jewelry- "Most Innovative Company".GJEPC IGJ Awards are the most reputed award for the Indian gems and Jewellery industry and the winners are chosen after rigorous process of qualification, compliance and selection. It was the 43rd award ceremony that took place at Mumbai in the presence of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
