The body of a man who jumped from the Veli bridge into the lake on Thursday night was found on Friday morning. The body was fished out from the lake by the police and the Fire and Rescue Services in the morning after search operations continued during the night, the Thumba police said. His relatives also identified the body. The deceased was identified as Madhu, 49, of Poonkulam, an employee at the Accountant General’s office. An identity card that was found near the bridge on Thursday helped in the identification.
