Ayurveda research institute to be set up

The State government is planning to set up a national research institute for Ayurveda, Health Minister K.K. The State government was also attempting to implement extensive ayurveda research projects in Kerala, the Minister said. She was speaking at the third national conference of State-level AYUSH (Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha, Homeopathy) Ministers. The institute, to be built in an area of around 300 acres, would have an ayurvedic hospital and museum attached to it, she said. She was speaking at the third national conference of State-level AYUSH (Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha, Homeopathy) Ministers. Traditional legacy Ms. Shylaja also spoke of Kerala’s rich traditional legacy and major achievements in the field of AYUSH. The State government was also attempting to implement extensive ayurveda research projects in Kerala, the Minister said. Change to be brought A comprehensive change would be brought about in the ayurveda sector of the State, she said. Measures were also being taken to develop ordinary ayurvedic hospitals into super speciality centres, the Minister added.
