TASMAC retail outlets closed

In Tiruvarur district, 14 outlets and a bar were closed while in Nagapattinam district six outlets were closed. As part of the State Government's order closing down 500 TASMAC retail outlets all over Tamil Nadu from Friday, officials downed shutters on 28 liquor shops in Thanjavur district. Seven bars attached to the retail outlets were also shut. Accordingly, seven shops in Thanjavur, six in Orathanad, five in Kumbakonam, three in Peravurani, two each in Tiruvaiyaru and Tiruvidaimarudur, one each in Papanasam, Budalur and Pattukkottai were closed.
