DDU to get CT Scan machine soon

VARANASI: In a major relief for the poor patients coming to the government hospital in the city for diagnostic tests , the state health department has decided to ensure availability of CT Scan machine at Deen Dayal Upadhyay (DDU) District Hospital soon.The announcement was made by principal secretary (health and family welfare), department of health and FW, Arun Kumar Sinha after inspection of the district hospital on Tuesday.Talking to TOI, superintendent-in-chief at DDU, Dr SK Upadhyay said, "The hospital has been functioning without a CT Scan machine for the past few years as the shelf life of the existing machine is over. During his visit at DDU, Sinha inspected emergency and surgical wards while at Sri Shiv Prasad Gupta (SSPG) divisional hospital, he visited emergency ward, mental health clinic, medilab among others.Chief medical superintendent at SSPG hospital, Dr BN Srivastava, said that the senior official was apprised about requirement of eight deep refrigerators for mortuary and requested to speed up the process of installation of one of two dialysis unit at hospital.
