VARANASI: The suggestion of the Supreme Court that that fresh attempts must be made by all parties to end the Ramjanmabhoomi-Babri Masjid dispute through negotiated settlement was hailed by the people of both communities in holy city.The suggestion of the Apex Court that came on Tuesday was welcomed by saint and seers as well as Muslim cleric of Varanasi. "It is a positive step taken by the SC. It is high time for the religious heads of both the communities to come forward to settle the issue amicably," said Swami Jitendranand Saraswati , the general secretary of Akhil Bharatiya Sant Samiti that began Rammandir movement in 1988. "The issue should be left only on the religious heads of the both communities to reach a consensus, not on political people," said the seer adding that out of court settlement is the best option, as both communities will be in win-win situation.Giving similar view Mahamandaleshwar Santosh Das of Satua Baba Ashram said that the sany samaj and Muslim clerics should sit together to resolve the issue out of the court. "It will not only resolve the issue permanently but also strengthen the tie between the two communities", he added. "It is a very good suggestion of the court, and we hope that people of both communities will come forward to strengthen communal harmony," said the Mufti-e-Banaras Maulana Abdul Batin Nomani The Muslim women associated with Muslim Mahila Foundation also appreciated the court's suggestion. "If Muslims want respect from Hindus they should come forward to build the temple at the birthplace of Ram, as all know that Ayodhya belongs to Sri Ram", said the MMF president Nazneen Ansari adding that the construction of Rammandir would be the permanent solution of this contentious issue. She had also visited Ayodhya on February 4 and also gave her contribution for the construction of the temple. Najma Parveen is also of the view that Muslims should present an example of communal harmony by contributing their share to the construction of Ram Mandir.
