To Council, in father’s footsteps

Mr. Chalapati Rao, former State president of BJP, represented the constituency in the Council in 1974 and 1981. His experience and familiarity with Central leaders would help him take initiative on getting the required help for the development of North Andhra, he said.

Madhav picks the threads of political legacy of his father P.V. Chalapati Rao. Besides acknowledging the work of BJP and TDP leaders and TDP cadres and the Sangh Parivar and ABPV activists, Mr. Madhav said the affection his father had earned in the three districts also fuelled his victory. Forty-one-year-old Madhav has vowed to work for North Andhra taking his father as inspiration. Mr. Chalapati Rao, former State president of BJP, represented the constituency in the Council in 1974 and 1981. The council was abolished during the TDP regime after NTR stormed into power. Speaking to media after receiving the Certificate of Election from the Returning Officer on Wednesday, he said would interact with representatives of industry on providing employment opportunities to locals and students graduating out of engineering and pharmacy colleges. His experience and familiarity with Central leaders would help him take initiative on getting the required help for the development of North Andhra, he said. Zone certain All the necessary effort was made by Union Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu and BJP State president and MP K. Haribabu on getting the Railway Zone with Visakhapatnam as headquarters, something which was close to every one’s heart, he said. “The last step of announcing it would be made very soon and none could stop it,” Mr. Madhav asserted. With Mr. Naidu approaching the Home Ministry four times the unified services rules for teachers would also be a reality soon, he said. The concern of teachers and employees over the “defective” contributory pension scheme (CPS) would also be addressed, he said.
