He was suffering from various age realted diseases.
Padannayil was admitted to the Indira Gandhi Cooperative Hospital in Kochi on July 19.
As his condition deteriorated, he was taken to the cardiac care unit, where he breathed his last at 6.40 am on 22 July.
In his film career spanning almost two decades, KTS Padannayil has acted in more than 60 films.
Apart from this, he has also acted in many TV shows.
