MoU for project Sunshine with HCL Software

Summary:

AICTE has initiated several schemes for students to get skilled on new technologies and enable industry-wise exposure to enhance their employabilityacrossdifferentindustrydomainsinIndiacoveringtheexpanse of thecountry. All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with HCL Software on 30th July 2020 for launching a ‘Project Sunshine’.

All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with HCL Software on 30th July 2020 for launching a ‘Project Sunshine’. 

HCL Software a division of HCL Technologies is a next generation global technology company. Company is known for providing quality, best of breed contents and resources that are backed by one of the best performing companies in the world. Project Sunshine is uniquely framed from HCL’s industry leading suite of products. Leveraging these components will allow students from AICTE approved Institutes to groom as Industry ready engineers and will create awareness and develop talent pool in the current trending niche technologies. The four most emerging areas identified for these courses are 1. DevOps, 2. Test Automation, 3. End Point Management, 4. Cyber Security.  Students of MCA and B Tech (All stream) from AICTE approved institutions will be eligible for these courses without any type of fee or registration charges.

Under this MoU, HCL Software will start SUNSHINE program with limited colleges as decided by AICTE in Bengaluru and NCR region on pilot program basis.  In this pilot project HCL Software will be able to take 40 students for each stream. The objective of the MoU is to update students with latest scenario of software industry with market requirement.  The MoU for the same was signed by Mr V V Apparao, Chief Human Resource Officer on behalf of HCL, and Prof Rajive Kumar, Member Secretary from AICTE on 30 July 2020. Mr Dareen Oberst, Corporate Vice President, HCL Ltd, Mr. G Purushottam, Vice President HCL, Mr Prasanna Coimbatore T&E Head HCL were present along with Prof M P Poonia, Vice Chairman and Dr Neetu Bhagat, Deputy Director AICTE.  The event was presided over by Prof Anil D Sahasrabudhe, Chairman of AICTE. He welcomed such MoU with industry and stated that AICTE is dedicated for enhancement of employability of technical students through Industry Academia collaborative activities.
