Q1. How was our journey establishing Amity group of institutions?
After my graduation and upon receiving a scholarship from the German government, I moved to Germany in 1970’s. It was in 1990’s I thought if entering the education space and forming Amity. Working on the policy of one eye on the vision and one on implementation, finally, in 2005 my dream took the shape of Amity University.
Q2. Today, how many campuses does Amity hold in India?
Today we have total 8 Amity Universities in India (Noida, Jaipur, Gurgaon, Gwalior, Mumbai, Raipur, Kolkata and Ranchi), 17 schools and 12 Amity global business school campuses. Apart from this we also have Amity campus across seas in London, Dubai, Mauritius, Singapore, Abu Dhabi, South Africa, Romania and China. Our aim is to make the country a leader in the education sector by establishing a campus in every state of the country till 2020.
Q3. At Amity University, how do you plan to give quality education?
It is always our endeavor that with all the facilities, students get a high quality education by experienced teachers. We always inspire students for research and innovation. In addition, we always periodically try to learn & meet the industry expectations thereby revising our curriculum. We make sure our students learn what industry needs and prepare them for the same.
Q4. What are your efforts to bring education to under privileged children?
Amity believes that there shouldn’t be any interruption in student`s education due to financial crisis. Working in that sector every year, scholarships are offered to many students in Amity University. In addition to this, we run `Amitasha` and `Atulasha` schools for students of economically weak strata, where students are provided free food, book, uniform and quality education.
