Sanjay Leela Bhansali's period drama Padmavati has only troubles in its journey! After vandalising the film sets and physically assaulting the director, now the Rajput Karni Sena is using social media to oppose Deepika- Ranveer and Shahid starrer film.
On Wednesday when Ranveer Singh tweeted out the logo of the film announcing that the first look poster of Padmavati will be out on Thursday, the Twitter handle of Rajput Karni Sena tweeted out a reply, with a warning at the same time. Ranveer wrote, "Rani Padmavati padhaar rahi hain...kal suryoday ke sath" to which the Sena handle tweeted writing, "Rani Padmavati agar Rani Padmavati ban kar padhaar rahi hain toh swagat hai, varna rukawat ke liye khed hoga"

Several reports suggested that the Sena members have objected to a certain romantic dream sequence in the film between Alauddin Khilji and Rani Padmini (on whom Padmavati is said to be based). Bhansali has repeatedly clarified that there's no such scene in the film but the threats from the sena haven't stopped.
Previously, the Sena members had also opposed Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starrer Jodha Akbar post which the movie didn't release in Rajasthan.
The film stars Deepika Padukone as the protagonist, has Shahid Kapoor playing Raja Rawal Ratan Singh and Ranveer Singh essaying the character of Alauddin Khilji, has previously been mired into a lot of controversies because of Rajput Karni Sena.
