A case has been registered against actor Prakash Raj fo criticising PM Narendra Modi

Prakash Raj on Sunday took a hit out at PM Narendra Modi on Sunday over his silence on the murder of journalist Gauri Lankesh in Bengaluru. Following his comment, a case has been registered against the award-winning actor in Lucknow Court on a complaint by a lawyer over his remarks against PM Modi, 

Speaking at the 11th state meet of the Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) in Bengaluru, Prakash Raj went on the record saying that PM Modi and UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath are better actors than him. He also said that he wanted to give back his National Awards. While Raj was severely criticised on social media, the actor later clarified on Twitter saying that he isn't a fool to give away the awards.

In the video message, Prakash said, "I don't belong to any political party. As a citizen of this country, I have the right to question PM Modi. His silence over Gauri Lankesh's murder is 'chilling'."
