Earlier it was being speculated that Sridevi has died due to cardiac arrest but now in a shocking update it is found that the actress did not pass away from heart disease but due to accidental drowning.
According to reports published in Gulf News, Dubai Police have released a forensic report on Sridevi's death to her family and the Indian Consulate representative that the superstar has died from drowning.
Apart from that alcohol content has also been found in her blood samples. It is being reported that the actress consumed alcohol and fell into the tub which later resulted in her drowning.
The envelope has been sent to the Bur Dubai police station. Both the representatives have gone to the police station with it.
Once opened by Dubai Police, and the information revealed to the family, then the next step in the process of repatriation will be decided.
The mortal remains of Sridevi are expected to arrive in Mumbai by 9 pm.
For the unversed Sridevi was in Dubai to attend nephew Mohit Marwah's wedding along with her husband Boney Kapoor, younger daughter Khushi Kapoor and the entire family. She passed away on Saturday night between 11 to 11:30 pm and since then the news of her demise is being circulated globally.
