Priyanka Chopra's CLEAVAGE becomes problematic for Congress

While speaking to a leading daily, Kurmi said, "The government should preserve the respect of the Assamese society. Frock is not an Assamese attire and the calendar pictures were not sober at all."

Looks like Congress party in Assam is not so happy with the brand ambassador Priyanka Chopra.

Yes, as per reports, during the Assembly session, Rupjyoti Kurmi along with other members of the Congress party demanded the removal of Priyanka as the brand ambassador of Assam.

Apparently, they have claimed that the pictures of her in 'minimal clothes' have tarnished the state’s culture.

While speaking to a leading daily, Kurmi said, "The government should preserve the respect of the Assamese society. Frock is not an Assamese attire and the calendar pictures were not sober at all. The government should have known how to preserve the prestige of the Assamese society, instead they could have used the traditional mekhela chador. This is the reason we have protested against the calendar.”

However, the chairman of the Assam Tourism Development Corporation doesn’t find it objectionable.

While speaking to a leading daily, he said, "Priyanka Chopra is an international figure and her presentation in the calendar has not diminished Assam's culture in any way," he added

In the last year, Priyanka Chopra courted a controversy for referring to Sikkim as 'insurgency-hit'.

Well, we wonder what Priyanka Chopra has to say about it?
