SC stays all criminal proceedings against Priya Prakash Varrier

In response to these charges, the now internet sensation approached the apex court to squash all these FIR lodged against her.
It’s a good news for all the Priya Prakash Varrier fans, as the Supreme Court has stayed all proceedings against the actress.
It all started when a few members of the Muslim Youth group filed a complaint against a song form her Malayalam film – Oru Adaar Love’ alleging that the names of the prophet and his wife have been used.
Soon after a Muslim body in Hyderabad issued a Fatwa against the song for hurting religious sentiments. In response to these complaints, the police station in Hyderabad filed a FIR against Priya and the director – Omar Lulu.
In response to these charges, the now internet sensation approached the apex court to squash all these FIR lodged against her.
The Supreme Court has now suspended proceedings against her.
