Irrfan Khan’s ‘NeuroEndocrine’ is curable says Dr. Saumitra Rawat

On commenting on Khan's case, he said, "It depends on the location of the tumour, its size, and what is its mytotic index. Depending on where the tumour is localized, you can take it out surgically and the chances of cure are very high".

Ever since Irrfan Khan’s ‘rare disease’ named as NeuroEndocrine Tumour has come to the light, there is no end to the fans' worries about the actor's health.

Well, putting rest to all the worries, Dr. Saumitra Rawat, of Sri Ganga Ram Hospital has spoken about Nuero Endocrine a tumour. He is the  HOD of Surgical Gastroenterology & Liver Transplant

While speaking to a leading daily, Dr. Saumitra said, "NeuroEndocrine Tumour is an abnormal growth of Neuroendocells which are present in bodies. NeuroEndocrine Tumour is an abnormal growth of Neuroendocells which are present in bodies. When there is an abnormal growth, then it forms a tumor - Normally seen in intestine, pancreas, lung, thyroid and other parts of the body"
