Movie Artists Association lifts ban on Sri Reddy

This change in decision comes after the National Human Rights Commission slapped notices on the Telangana government and the Information and Broadcasting Ministry regarding the sexual exploitation for Telugu actresses.

Only a few days back, the Telugu actress Sri Reddy created a lot of fuss in the media for her topless protest against the casting couch in Telugu film fraternity.

Later, she was even banned in the industry and detained by the police. Sri even revealed the intimate chats and photographs shared with actors and directors.

Now, as per the latest update, The Movie Artists Association has lifted the ban on the Telugu actress. They have also repealed the ban on other actors to work with her.

In a press conference, “We withdraw our Monday’s decision not to give her membership in MAA and advise her to apply for it.  The screening committee will take a decision at its tri-monthy meeting”

Sri Reddy has been grabbing the eyeballs since Saturday, when she stripped in front of the Telugu Film Chambers Association office in protest against the prevalent devil of casting couch. She alleged that Tollywood filmmakers exploited her sexually on the pretext of casting her in films but later went back on their words. Since then, the actress has made it her mission to expose some of the top names from the South Industry,
