Signaling to a positive change, the Supreme Court on Thursday announced its verdict on Section 377 and lifted a ban on gay sex.

Yes, the historic judgment was passed by a five-judge panel in the court which ended the law, that prohibits "carnal intercourse against the order of nature with any man, woman or animal".

On Twitter, the Supreme Court's decision was hailed by one and all. Directors, actors, actresses, writers - voices cutting across the cultural spectrum tweeted in praise of the apex court's decision.

Right from Anushka to Alia and Ranveer to Hrithik, many Bollywood celebs reacted on social media and the first one was Karan Johar. KJo called it a 'historical judgment...and a huge thumbs-up for humanity and equal rights', while Sonam Kapoor shared a picture in support that expressed optimism of a "day when there won't be labels".
