Leaked image shows the Maruti Suzuki S-Presso’s front and side design.
It features a Brezza-like front end with large bumper and a slim grille.
From the side, it looks like a beefier WagonR with its boxy proportions, flared wheel arches and black cladding.
No shots of interior yet; expect a hemispherical instrument cluster atop the centre of the dashboard.
The dimensions reveal that the S-Presso will be shorter in length and narrower than the Renault Kwid.
It is expected to be powered by BS6-compliant 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine and will get a CNG variant too.
Maruti had announced earlier this year that its new micro-SUV will be called the S-Presso. It is expected to launch in October 2019 and has been spied testing with camouflage multiple times. Now, we have our first look of the final product in a leaked image with a few more details too.
The S-Presso looks a bit like a WagonR on steroids with its SUV proportions and boxy stance. However, the design borrows some cues from the Vitara Brezza. It features a slim front grille with a squared-off front end and a large multi-section, dual-tone bumper.
The LED DRLs are positioned just in front of the fender below the headlamps, which is a reference to the design of Maruti Suzuki’s Future S concept that was unveiled at the last Auto Expo. The S-Presso’s bumpers, side cladding and the flared wheel arches are finished in black for a more rugged look.
Maruti is likely to equip the S-Presso with a BS6 compliant version of the Alto K10’s 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine. As per the carmaker’s latest announcement, the S-Presso will also be offered with a CNG variant.

The S-Presso’s measurements reveal that it will be 3565mm long, 1564mm tall, 1520mm wide and will have wheelbase of 2380mm. It will also have a ground clearance of 180mm, same as its intended direct rival - the Renault Kwid. However, the Maruti is smaller in terms of length and width.

While there is no preview of the S-Presso’s interior, a previous spy shot suggests that it will feature a semi-circular instrument cluster positioned in the centre atop the dashboard. However, the round housing for the infotainment system on the Future S concept is unlikely to be offered in the S-Presso.
The Maruti S-Presso is expected to get a starting price of around Rs 4 lakh and will be sold via Maruti’s regular Arena chain of dealerships.
