The Wagon R and the Santro have been two of the most famous names in the Indian auto industry. They had been competing with each other for almost 20 years until 2015, when Hyundai pulled the plug on the Santro. However, this legendary rivalry was rejuvenated recently, as Hyundai reincarnated the Santro nameplate and Maruti debuted its third-gen Wagon R. We have already compared their variants in detail and now, it`s time to compare the two arch-rivals in detailed pictures.

A 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is offered on both the cars in their top-spec variants.

7. AC
Both the cars come with manual AC, a USB port and a 12V charging socket at the front.
8. Rear AC vents
The Santro gets rear AC vents, which the Wagon R misses out on.
9: Fixed Headrest
Neither of the cars offer adjustable headrest either for front or rear seats.
10. Rear Parking Camera
While both the cars get rear parking sensors as standard, only the Santro comes with reverse parking camera. It is limited to the top-spec Asta variant though.
11. Engine
The Wagon R is available with a 68PS/90Nm 1.0-litre and 83PS/113Nm 1.2-litre petrol engines. Maruti is not offering a CNG option with the WagonR for now.
The Santro comes with a 69PS/99Nm 1.1-litre petrol engine only. It is available with both petrol and CNG fuel options.
12. Transmission
Both the cars are available with a 5-speed MT and AMT.
13. Wheels
Neither of the cars get alloys wheels. Even in their top variants, both cars get 14-inch steel wheels with wheel covers. Also, at 165/70 R14, their tyre sizes are similar.
