33% professionals feel Technology hinders work and family commitments

According to a survey, 33% of young professionals in India consider the developing technology as a hindrance in their personal lives. 

The world is going through a number of changes and it has come a long way in terms of technology. Everyone is connected to each other through various forms of technologies.

There are few who worry about technology being a hindrance in their personal lives. Around 33 % of young professionals in the country feel that the technology hinders their personal space. It’s a major blockage to work and commitments towards their families.

Other hindrances were calls, meetings, training after work hours, negative attitude of supervisors, laptops and phones towards work-life balance.

According to the survey, 67% of the India`s young working professionals think about work, even when they are not at work. Over 2,000 working professionals in the age group 18-55 years participated in the survey, with maximum responses received from people in 18-34 age group.

Smart phones and laptops are the basic necessity today but there seems to be loss of privacy in some aspects. Technology can be the reason of self- destruction if not used decisively. It is very important for youth to balance their work and professional life.
