Surprisingly and without any surprises, people kept looking for ways to shed some kilos and kept adapting new methods and techniques the whole here. Here are some well adapted weight loss regimes that were a hit in the year 2017.

The Keto diet

Popular comedians like Tanmay Bhatt lost a whopping 110 kgs and suddenly keto became everyone’s favourite on the list. Keto diet is pretty old in its creation, but it became exceptionally trendy in 2017. A diet asking you to savour cheese more than chapatti is worth accepting, isn’t it?

Sugar detox over Carb detox

B-town divas like Bipasha Basu Grover and Shilpa Shetty Kundra started the #nosugarchallenge. Courtesy their challenge many learnt the chief obstruction in their weight loss journey was processed and refined sugar and not carbs. The sugary sin over and over again concealed in processed food items caught the highlight this year. Many become conscious that leaving sugar was a much better option than parting with carbs as they found it to be a more sustainable weight loss trick.

The one bowl meal

People believed that meal in a bowl is trouble-free and set aside the hassle of trying to finish up a full plate of dishes. The bowl restricts your food quantity and also makes you mindful of your portion size. The trend was taken up from Japanese and Chinese states, but spread like wildfire amid people.

Rainbow food

How wonderful will it look to have different delicacies in amazing colors? Beautiful to look at, right? But this unique method didn’t please the eyes solely, infact it was doped up with all the goodness of health.  Filled with antioxidants and other necessary nutrients it helps you to stay healthy. Rainbow food certainly made its mark this year!

Mediterranean diet

Another diet that gained popularity in 2017 is the Mediterranean diet. This diet is full of fruits and veggies loading up your plate with health. The diet was favourably accepted by a majority of people.

Aren’t we too weight conscious? The coming year let’s ditch the usual body shaming rituals and accept our body the way it is. For nobody is perfect and there isn’t any problem being imperfect.
